T-Mobile’s G1 is solidly constructed and has a soft touch finish. The back has a rubber-like texture that makes for a sturdy grip. The phone’s large size compliments its full QWERTY Keyboard beautifully. The keyboard can be accessed with just a push of the screen to the right. The keyboard slides out in a swinging motion before snapping into its position. The bottom part of the phone just out at an angle so that the phone’s speaker is closer to your mouth. When the phone is slid open, the orientation changes from portrait to the landscape mode automatically.
The phone comes with quad band connectivity and offers regular features like a speakerphone, voice dialing, conference calling, and speed dial. The nicest feature is that if you happen to have a Gmail account, then all your contacts will be synchronized with your phone book. The Android 1.5 lets users see their Google contact’s status in the phone’s address book and other messaging applications. The myFaves application is part of the G1 and lets you make unlimited calls to five contacts without having to use your talk time.
Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity
