The LG Rumor 2 is an upgraded version of the previous LG Rumor, and the QWERTY keypad in vibrant Orange accounts for most of its desirability. Not that the features are not tempting enough! This next generation phone keeps all the great features of the first one, offering some new and upgraded ones, making the phone even better.
The QVGA display is much clearer and sharper. And you also have a full 4 row QWERTY keypad, as compared to the 3 row keypad in the previous version. The other great features that the phone boasts of are Bluetooth, GPS support, PC synchronization, internet connectivity, MP3 player, a 1.3 megapixels camera and Instant Messenger and Email support among others.

LG Rumor 2 design
LG Rumor 2, the new and upgraded version of the first generation LG Rumor, though keeps the basic designing of the previous phone, adds a vibrant Orange keypad to the styling, along with some new features and technology, making the phone easier to use, and more user friendly. The QVGA display, though still the same size, has a resolution of 240x 320 pixels, giving you extremely clear and sharp display. The Orange side sliding QWERTY keypad complements the Black body, and the alphanumeric keypad with the main display screen.
The phone comes with a Micro USB port, Micro SD expandable card slot, volume toggle, dedicated camera key, and 2.5 mm headset jack for your headset/headphones. The phone is TTY and hearing aid compatible (rated M3/T4) and supports T9 predictive text feature that predicts your words as you type them, making it an ideal communication tool. The phone also comes with the regular organizing tools like alarm, calendar, calculator, to-do list, voice memos etc, so you can schedule your day in advance.
Dual keypads
The LG Rumor 2 comes with dual keypads for your convenience. While there is an alphanumeric keypad with the main display screen, the phone also has a side sliding QWERTY keypad in vibrant Orange, for those accustomed to the likes of such. As compared to the 3 row keypad on the previous LG Rumor, the one on the Rumor 2 comes with full 4 rows, including the top most row, dedicated exclusively to numbers. The keys on the keypad are hard, big in size and well spaced, automatically sprucing up your accuracy and speed. While soft keys for Call and End are available on both the keypads, navigation and selection is only through the main alphanumeric keypad.
Changeable Rear battery covers
The LG Rumor 2 comes with 2 changeable rear battery covers- one with plain Orange, and one with a white pattern (both included in the box) which you can interchange with each other as and when you want. You can change them yourself with ease to suit your mood and preference. These are ideal especially for when you get bored of the way your phone looks, and need a quick change.
Bluetooth support
The phone comes with Bluetooth support so you can connect many accessories and other Bluetooth compatible devices wirelessly to your phone. You can even transfer music, pictures, videos and other data from your phone to other phones and Bluetooth devices in the vicinity. The phone is also equipped with a 2.5 mm headset jack to connect your headsets so you can listen to your music or talk handsfree.
GPS enabled
For those very bad with directions, and prone to getting lost all the time, the Sprint navigation feature comes to your rescue. The LG Rumor 2 is equipped with a Micro USB port so you can sync it easily with your PC to transfer your contacts, music, mails etc from your phone to your PC, and vice versa in no time.
Go handsfree
Not only can you enjoy wireless communication with the Bluetooth feature, but you can also dial handsfree with the Voice activated dialing. This feature lets you dial any contact in your phonebook, without any pre-training, only with a few simple voice commands. You can also set voice memos in your own voice, so you never miss appointments or special dates again.
Not only dialing and voice memos, but you can also talk handsfree, with the speakerphone that lets you have your conversations out loud, when your hands are too busy.
Messaging and email
The LG Rumor 2, like its predecessor is touted mainly as a message centric phone, owing to its 2 keypads- one alphanumeric and one QWERTY, so you can use whichever you’re more comfortable with. The phone supports text and multimedia messages in a chat style, so you can pick up each conversation from wherever you left it. You can even send pictures and videos in your multimedia messages.
The phone comes with an Instant messenger and supports Yahoo! AOL and other messengers. You can even log in, and be online on all of them together. For email, the phone comes with Sprint email and you can access your accounts in Yahoo!, AOL and Hotmail. You can also view attachments (read only) in PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
