Advanced Features
The advanced features on the SCP-2700 are worth mentioning at the outset. With Bluetooth Wireless Technology, you can pretty much transfer music and video files along conveniently and wirelessly. You can also connect Wirelessly to Bluetooth Headsets and other compatible Devices for File Transfers, Printing, and DUN. One big advantage is that this Sanyo cell is Upgradeable via Over-the-air Software Upgrades. This is helpful, as many rival phones tend to become obsolete without this function.
The QWERTY Keyboard enables you to pound away your text and messages. The keyboard is a Full QWERTY Keyboard that is specially made for fast typing. The GPS Services Support is something you’ll enjoy. Since the SCP is GPS Enabled for Turn-by-turn Directions, all you need to do is enlist in the Sprint Navigation and E911 Emergency Location Services and you can be reassured that you won’t get lost on the road.
Entertainment
With pre-loaded Games, the SCP-2700 is a sure winner for Gamers, particularly because the phone allows you to download even more after you get bored with those that come with the phone. The Picture Caller ID is really not that much of an entertainment function, though it does do its job of letting you see who is calling at a glance. Ringer Profiles remember your favorite ringtones so don’t have to go fishing for them, while Custom Ringtones allows you to assign different Ringtones to contacts in your Phonebook. The Polyphonic Ringtones are a nice variation in theme from the regular-sounding ringtones, and the Customizable Graphics add another dimension to the phone, making the phone look more like it’s distinctly yours.
Looking at the Digital Camera specs real briefly, this is an ordinary common sense kind of Camera that has a couple of additional functions like Multiple Modes and Zoom.
Highlighted Features on the Sanyo SCP-2700
The 1.3 Megapixel Camera does its job of Capturing Memories and creating stills that you can share with others. What it also does is push the SCP into the class of camera phones, but with a low-end resolution of 1.3 Megapixels. Fundamentally, you can categorize the Sanyo SCP-2700 as a Quality Phone designed for use with Email and Text Messaging. This Sanyo comes outfitted with a Backlit, Full QWERTY that makes typing and accurate Messaging pleasurable functions.
Offering the option to connect Wirelessly, the Bluetooth Capability brings yet another crucial functionality to the forefront of Sanyo 2700’s usefulness. You also have a Choose How to Connect option that lets you Call, Email - Personal or Corporate - Social Zone, Picture and Text Message, or ensure safe and sure driving with Sprint Navigation and Built-in GPS.
Messaging Features
The Messaging options on the Messaging Features are impressive indeed, particularly because it is designed to be a messaging phone. With Text Messaging (SMS), you may send and receive Text Messages with a Threaded, Chat-style View. And with Multimedia Messaging, you can send and receive Picture Messages as well – nice if you’re good at keeping in touch with friends and family. The Email Client on the SCP-2700 supports Web-based Email Accounts, i.e. Yahoo!, Gmail, Etc. as well as Corporate Email i.e. Lotus Notes, Exchange.
The Instant Messengers that are compatible with the SCP-2700 include popular Instant Messenger Services like MSN and Yahoo! and AOL. The phone also comes with the Mobile Web Browsing function on the Polaris v6.0.1 Browser. This is really cool since you can always connect to the World Wide Web and access your favorite websites or read news or check out other stuff.
Core Functions
Taking a real quick look at the SCP-2700’s core functions, the Color Display on this cell is fabulous, complete with 1.8" x 1.3", and 320 x 240 Pixel resolution; it also has 65,000 Color TFT Displays, The Speakerphone does justice to Hands-free Conversations and is an alternative to handsfree options like a headset. The phone comes in a cool blue color.
It has all the ordinary functions found on an average phone, i.e. Alarm, Calendar, To-Do List, and Calculator – this should get you better organized. And the phone also supports Voice-activated Dialing for dialing options with your voice commands and a Voice Memo that can store and record about 2,000 Voice Memos; they can be approximately 3 minutes each.
