The Sierra Wireless card is the first PCMCIA data connect card that comes with HSUPA support responsible for providing astonishing upload speeds of up to 7.2 MBPS and download speeds of 2.0 Mbps.
You can connect your Windows laptop or Mac notebook through the Sierra Wireless AC881. Your office can be constantly on your side whether you are traveling, or have gone to a remote corner of the world for work or are on the field. At the press of a few buttons, you can access your corporate files and documents, access/ send/ receive emails with attachments and browse the internet. The modem has an inbuilt plug and play feature that starts working when you install AT&T’s Communication Manager Software. The 3G network uses quad band GSM connectivity (850/900/1800/1900 MHZ) and is compatible with 2100 MHz 3G networks ( only found in international locations).The 3G network provides download speeds ranging from 700 Kbps to 1.7 Mbps and upload speeds between 500 Kbps to 1.2 Mbps. This ensures that users can enjoy a variety of function-rich features such as simultaneous voice and data services. So, even while you are busy on a standard voice call you can stream a one way live video or music to another compatible phone. So now, while you are on a phone call, you can send or receive data files with another compatible phone. The EDGE network kicks-in in places where 3G is not available.
