UTStarcom Quickfire design
The UTStarcom is designed to impress. With the all Silver body, and rugged yet stylish look, you will find the designing impeccable. The main display screen is a good 2.8 inches with a resolution of 240x 320 pixels and support for over 262,000 colors. The touch screen and QWERTY keypad are indicators of the great technology inside as well too. However, the touch screen is a little unresponsive sometimes, but overall works well. The QWERTY keypad has large keys so you end up typing fast and accurate. The screen automatically aligns itself to the landscape mode when you’re using the QWERTY keypad.
The main body keeps the design minimalist with only 3 keys- the call key, end key and shortcut menu that leads you to the menu, dialing, music and phonebook options. The phone also has a dedicated messaging key, lock key, and volume control buttons on the sides. It is TTY and hearing aid compatible (rated T4/M4) making it an ideal communication tool. It runs on the Java application platform for most programs, and with the international compatibility feature you can use it anywhere in the world (roaming charges apply).
Connectivity
The Quickfire is Bluetooth enabled (v1.1) so you can easily connect to other devices like a car kit or headset. With stereo Bluetooth headsets (A2DP) you can even stream music wirelessly to your phone, or talk when you’re busy handsfree.
You can even synchronize the UTStarcom Quickfire with your PC easily through the USB 2.0 port for quick transfers. The phone also becomes a disk drive so you can store and access data in it whenever required. Modem usability is another feature of the phone. It lets you connect to the Internet (software and cable available separately).
GPS support
Navigation is made easy with Location based services like the AT&T Navigator that provide you with easy directions to your destination. You can look up the shortest route or alternative routes to any place, and travel safely and hassle-free, thanks to your phone.
1.3 megapixels camera
With the 1.3 megapixels camera you can click pictures and shoot videos of 15 frames per second in QVGA resolution.
